Radiologist Assistant
Heidi Nichols imaging career started while enlisted in the US Army. After her honorable discharge, she graduated from Loma Linda University’s BS in Radiologist Assistant program in 2009. Heidi came back to the RA program at LLU in 2012 as an adjunct faculty teaching four courses (Patient Assessment 1 & 2, and Comprehensive Review 1 & 2).
In 2013, Heidi also spread her wings and became an RA Essay Evaluation Committee Member and an RA Item Writer at the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). She also became an American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) RA Curriculum Revision Committee Member and continues to give her all to the profession.
In 2016, she completed her Master’s degree in Career and Technical Education and also became the current Governor Appointment to the State of Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board. Most recently, Heidi completed her Educational Doctoral degree at University of Wisconsin – Stout.
In addition to still teaching in the LLU RA program, Heidi continues to teach Radiography and CT for a technical college in Wisconsin. She joined SGRA in October of 2019 as a Registered Radiologist Assistant.
