Cystography

A cystography is a procedure that uses fluoroscopy x-ray imaging to investigate the function and structure of the bladder. A contrast dye is inserted through the urethra into the bladder to improve clarity of the images during the examination.

The procedure allows physicians to detect and evaluate problems with the bladder, such as infection, trauma, cancer, polyps and reflux.
