Credentialing Specialist
Monique Barton is a graduate of Piedmont University in Demorest, Georgia earning a BA in Middle Grades Education, with a focus in Science and History. While attending college she worked in many facets of the medical field. Earning her certification as a Certified Coding Specialist from AHIMA led her to Health Information Management. An opportunity arose to work as a Medical Staff Coordinator at an acute care facility where she was the liaison between administration and the medical staff, coordinating credentialing and privileging for medical staff and allied health professionals, maintaining the credential data base and files, coordinating medical staff meetings and assisting the CQO with administrative duties. Monique is a member of GAMSS and NAMSS and is currently studying for the CPCS exam. She and her family reside in Morganton, Georgia. Monique joined SGRA in August of 2022.
